On Tuesday 10 March, at the Huonville Hub, local architect Andy Armstrong presented a talk on affordable housing, attended by about 15 community members.
With a significant increase in net migration to Huon Valley during 2025, was a timely opportunity for us to look again at the issues and opportunities surrounding affordable housing.

Tasmania's Affordable Housing Strategy 2015 - 2025
Andy referred to this strategy which now needs to be renewed and urged Tasmania's politicians to take note of the escalating needs of Tasmanians.
